revisiting

alas, i have been neglecting any blog time i may have in favor of facebook (on which i have not written anything all that interesting either). but good news! i printed out my creature story and edited what i have and am going to start dreaming its continuation.
whereas Jenavie is about exploring life and dreaming, reality and unreality, Kier (or Creature) is along the vein of the consequences of life and suffering and wisdom and death. a character is dying but wants desperately to live; Kier is in conflict, he has life-immortal but wavers between living and death quite often; another character is taking life as a means of vengeance and control... this all occurs on different planes, one affecting another..blah, blah, blah. i was thinking a third story (the murderer's tale and subsequent apology) but we'll have to see. i think there is a very gripping story there, and i've a voice started for it, but i really need to at least form a good skeleton for Creature first.

so my friend aaron sent out a writing assignment for our bulletin to which i cannot in good conscience contribute without writing something for my sister's blog---sorry heather!...the other trick is to write something in a way that doesn't come as naturally to me--not his challenge, but mine, as his only perameters are keeping with the theme and a word count.. rice cookers keep coming to mind, so it will probably be silliness...just need to get a microtheme for one film class done really quick, and not think about the dark matters of Creature for a day...
