we put up the tree last night... and then, of course, decorated the tree, and then some of the house. it is nice to live in small enough spaces so that you can get maximum festive out of minimal "holiday decor" objects (and that is not an invitation to buy me said sort of objects).
with natalya's updated room we decided against trying to find a crammed corner to put her little tree in, so some of the ornaments that usually grace her tree, were added to the plethora "encrusting" our tree.
even put on christmas music via pandora. (though we do have a few cds--no purchasing for us there necessary either.) the music lasted until some maniacal elvis-sounding song came on--loud and dementing--while sean was on the phone and i was trying to be a good sport. yeah, we opted to follow this with music from the toad the wet sprockets and oasis and counting crows.let the christmas season continue to begin!
